The Weather Channel is an incredibly reliable source of up-to-the minute breaking weather trends. Not only does it provide research on the science of weather and world-class reporting, it is staffed by over 200 meteorologists who understand that we RELY on their reporting. AccuWeather, Verizon's current weather solution, is inadequate. AccuWeather is so bland that I have to watch the reel at least three times to find out what the weather is in my area, and often I give up and check other sources.

The Weather Channel accurately pinpoints where storms will hit my area so that I can safely plan travel. Please. I'm frankly miserable without the likes of their personalities, namely Al Roker, Sam Champion, Stephanie Abrams and the classic Jim Cantore, who went gaga over thundersnow this winter. The video of him reporting on thundersnow in Boston went viral.

I'm an avid fan of weather and in truth, played The Weather Channel almost 24/7. No one covers tornadoes and other life-threatening weather conditions like they do. Come on, Verizon. After the winter we just had, and our entry into tornado season, with the severe weather outbreaks that seem to be increasing in our country...bring back The Weather Channel NOW!!!
