Demand Zoos Stop Feeding Live Prey To Captive Predators For Entertainment!

Animals in Chinese zoos and parks fed live meals for human entertainment.

Add your name if you want this horrible, abusive practice to be banned forever!

"Carnivores in Chinese zoos and wildlife parks are commonly fed live prey, often as a form of entertainment for the public.

"Animals being given the live meals include big cats, bears and hyenas. The animals being fed to them include goats, rabbits, horses, cattle, and various forms of poultry," reported Digital Journal.

The worst part is, this horrible abuse is often witnessed by children.

"Members of the public are sometimes encouraged to "buy" the prey animals and then allowed to dangle live chickens and other animals into the predators' enclosure on the ends of ropes or fishing lines," said the same source.

One of the most famous cases, which made international news in 2017, was a time a live donkey was fed to a pair of tigers.

The whole tragedy was caught on film. National Geographic published it.

"In the video, reportedly shot by a visitor at the Yancheng Safari Park, just outside Shanghai, a group of men in raincoats push a donkey down a wooden ramp into a moat where two tigers pounce on it. At one point the donkey thrashes around underwater.

"Disgruntled shareholders were behind the incident, according to a statement (in Chinese) issued by the zoo. Angered by a lack of financial returns from the zoo, the shareholders arranged for the group of men to capture some of the animals, including the donkey, and sell them to people outside the facility.

"After being stopped by security, the men decided instead to push the donkey into the tiger enclosure to at least "save on animal feed," one shareholder told The Guardian," according to one news source.

This case was particularly cruel.

"It wasn't hunger that drove those two tigers; it was curiosity.

"They don't seem to have the understanding of how to bring down an animal like this and what to do about it, really," said Doug Cress, chief executive officer at the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

There's no doubt about it.

This horrible "entertainment" must be brought to an end, once and for all.

Don't you think Chinese authorities should ban the feeding of live animals to captive predators all across their nation?

Just imagine how many more helpless creatures will suffer and die, if they don't take immediate action.

That's why we're calling on Luo Shugang, Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism, to do the right thing and motion within his government to make this wicked practice illegal.

Don't you want to protect innocent animals from cruel people who want to watch them die in agony?

Then add your name to help make it illegal to feed live animals to captive predators purely for entertainment in zoos!
