To: The WCCUSD School Board, Superintendent Duffy, and District Leadership
Regarding: The hiring process for the Principal of Kennedy High School
Whereas, school communities are most successful when they have input, autonomy, and power to shape the school's trajectory
And Whereas, inequities within the district must be addressed with coalitions of staff, students, families, and community partners
The signed supporters of this petition demand that the WCCUSD School Board, Superintendent Duffy, and District Leadership take the following steps to address the inequity of process in leadership changes at Kennedy High School:
1. Convene a community forum where district leaders explain the process for administration transition, and
2. Listen to input from stakeholders at the community forum and adjust priorities and decisions based on input
3. Publicly recognize lack of judgement and harmful decisions in regards to inequitable lack of input from Kennedy stakeholders, in order to begin restoring trust between stakeholders and district leaders
Note: This petition will be shared with the WCCUSD School Board, Superintendent Duffy, and District leadership once students, family members, community members and a majority of staff members agree to sign.

Considerando que, las comunidades escolares tienen más éxito cuando pueden contribuir ideas, tener autonomía, y poder para moldear la trayectoria de la escuela
Y considerando que, inequidades dentro del distrito tienen que discutirse con coaliciones de empleados, estudiantes, familias y miembros de la comunidad
Los partidarios que han firmado esta petición exigen que el Consejo Escolar de WCCUSD, Superintendente Duffy, y el Liderazgo del Distrito Escolar tomen los siguientes pasos para abordar el problema de la inequidad del proceso usado para hacer cambios al liderazgo de la preparatoria Kennedy:
Nota: Esta petición se compartirá con el Consejo Escolar de WCCUSD, Superintendente Duffy y Liderazgo del Distrito Escolar ya que haya sido firmada por una mayoría de empleados al igual que estudiantes, y miembros de familia y de la comunidad.
