Save the Bluefin Tuna!
Bluefin tuna have declined 97 percent since people started fishing them. The tuna gained a reputation as a luxury on sushi menus, and countries failed to create legislation to sustain their populations.
The huge, six-foot-long fish is an easy target for fishing nets, and has little chance of survival unless action is taken to protect it. In addition to losing a majestic fish, we would also lose an important predator that is essential in maintaining the Pacific Ocean's ecosystem.
