They want to stop prosecuting animal abusers... Don't you think that's basically telling cruel people that they can do whatever they want to animals?

"The Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office will no longer pursue animal cruelty misdemeanors, citing low funding as the cause. Offenders will still be held accountable through other means, such as a judge or an animal protection officer. News4's Aimee Cho spoke to an animal rights activist who's urging the county to reconsider," reported NBC.
There is no excuse for this unconscionable change in policy.
That's why we're calling on Board of Supervisors for the Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office to force the organization to continue prosecuting animal abuse misdemeanors.
