By changing the regulations, auto manufacturers will be able to continue putting out cars that aren't nearly as fuel efficient as the previous targets, thereby ensuring that more pollution ends up in the air.
According to the Union of Concerned Scientists, one half of all Americans — an estimated 150 millionpeople — already live in areas that don't meet federal air quality standards. Emissions from cars, trucks, and other vehicles are the main sources of this pollution, causing health concerns from smog and deadlyair pollution.
With people and our planet suffering, there's no good reason to ADD MORE pollution where it's otherwise avoidable. We urge Scott Pruitt and the EPA to not weaken the existing rules and to give our cities and environment a fighting chance!
Sign and share to tell the EPA: No more pollution! Don't change existing vehicle emission standards that protect our air!
