Tomball Isd student dress code

In the Tomball district I have noticed that the student dress code is no longer up to date with all of the modern day fashions. I believe if the school sat down with student representatives, the dress code could be edited to the students' and staffs' liking. 
I find it very hard to find clothing in stores that fit the dress code. I wear shorts to school because finding jeans that fit me right is always hard or if I find the right jeans they are way too expensive for my family. My one thought on that is, what do families with less money than mine do to have clothes for their children? I have shorts that are in dress code but I've had to alter them so they are within the standards of the dress code. That adds on money to the original cost of the shorts. Clothing styles these days do not have the same standards as the Tomball districst's student dress code.
I am not asking for the school to allow for really short shorts or crop tops but I am asking for an editing of the dress code so it makes it easier for students to abide by it. All I want is for the students to be able to wear current styles of clothing and not get in trouble for it.
