Protect and Respect your pets

As a previous owner of four wonderful dogs of different breeds, that we had to say good by to at the end of their life times was extremely difficult, which is why we can't imagine how anyone could take their lives willfully. We can't bear to watch the commercials that are shown on a regular basis. They only want to be loved just like we do, which unlike us, they return that love without question. We would like to see a mandatory sentence across the country (felony) be awarded to anyone that has committed such and act. We would hope that something like that would be at least a deterrent of sorts and make these people think twice maybe three times before acting.
