Bus Éireann has announced that it will be cutting Expressway services between Dublin and three other cities from early next year.
The services between the capital and Galway, Limerick and Cork will end when the emergency supports for the routes expire which is expected to happen early next year.
As a result of this decision Cashel & Cahir will no longer have a link to Dublin and Cork from the current X8 Bus Services. We need your support to fight for the X8 Bus Services through Cashel & Cahir to be maintained.
Cashel Chamber of Commerce President Martin Lynch describes Bus Éireann decision to Cut Off a Vital Connection Link for Cashel & Cahir as a kick in the teeth for the towns.
Chamber President Martin Lynch said; The removal of the X8 Bus route is short sighted, flawed and a kick in the teeth for Cashel and Cahir. We need the public's support on this and I'm asking everyone to sign this petition calling on Bus Eireann to urgently reviewed and reversed this nonsensically decision.
Cllr. Andy Moloney said; Cahir is the crossroads of Munster and the X8 is an essential link for connecting buses from limerick to Waterford and Dublin and Cork. We cannot allow for this service to be removed and I urge you to sign this petition to have this decision reversed.
