Almost 30 Horses Were Found Dead and Dozens More Suffering From Neglect on a California Property

In a devastating case of animal abuse and neglect, 27 horses were found dead in California, with dozens more in desperate need of care. The person responsible was arrested after authorities discovered the malnourished and starving horses on two properties, who had limited access to food and water. Tragically, four additional horses and one bull were euthanized due to extreme neglect.

The perpetrator already had past charges that show erratic behavior, including threats against a school and law enforcement. It is clear this person is struggling and gets the mental health support she clearly needs, while also ensuring that no more animals suffer.

Sign the petition to demand mandatory mental health counseling and a lifetime ban on animal ownership for this animal abuser!

While 16 surviving horses were rescued and are now being cared for, the tragic deaths of these animals cannot be forgotten. The animals who were found alive after this ordeal deserve the chance to heal and thrive, but the real solution lies in preventing this cruelty from happening again.

By demanding counseling and a ban on future animal ownership, we can stop the cycle of abuse and give this person the opportunity to address the root causes of her actions, all while protecting innocent animals from harm.

Sign the petition to ensure that the person responsible is held accountable, receives the mental health treatment she needs, and is prohibited from ever owning animals again.
