The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management , is aggressively promoting Seasonal hunting in ALL of our tax funded State Parks, Sanctuaries, and Refuges . These areas were created by visionaries meant to PRESERVE and PROTECT a diminishing world of natural wild open places , wildlife , flora and fauna and natural resources from over development, encroachment , pollution , hunting and exploitation . They were never intended to be used by the state for revenue by turning these pristine wild places of beauty , tranquility and conservation into dangerous seasonal hunting grounds as in 'stocked' game reserves and trophy hunting.
