It’s no surprise that EA has decided to milk the money cow that is Star Wars even further with their sequel to yet another flop of a videogame. They have, admittedly, improved in some areas, but unfortunately their newest creation, Star Wars Battlefront 2, is still lacking a lot of content that doesn’t truly own up to its classic predecessor from 2004.
Honestly though, if there’s one thing it really needs that made the original Battlefront 2 so undeniably amazing is the space battles. Yes, I know, we got a space battle mode for online multiplayer - but I’m talking about offline. I mean, the arcade mode is already a fundamental sign that they spent next to no effort or expense in investing their time into an offline gameplay experience for those lacking sufficient internet connection or simply want to practice or have a go with some AI. The least they could do is provide a space battle addition to the offline modes so that players can brush up on their space-flight/aerial warfare skills and enjoy what made the Battlefront series overall so phenomenal and unique.
Let’s collectively attempt to plead EA to release an offline space battle mode, and if they ultimately hear us and respond postively, there may just be hope that they’re not as ignorant and greedy of their customers as we thought they were!
