URGENT: Send the HMAS Melbourne (III) to intercept the Nisshin Maru whaling boat!

Why should people sign?
Because this is one of the most efficient ways to protect Antarctic waters from Japanese whaling boats. Whaling boats certainly don't belong there. And I don't think they have all their animal-ethics scientific research paperwork ready for inspection!
Have a look at what Koji Tsuruoka, an official from the Japanese government, says here in this video immediately after the UN ruled in 2014 that Japan must halt its whaling practices:
"However, as a state that respects the rule of law, the order of international law and as a responsible member of the global community, Japan will abide by the decision of the court."
You know what Mr. Tsuruoka? I am DEEPLY disappointed by your nation's current actions to continue hunting whales under the guise of scientific research.
I think they are testing our resolve, I really do. How dare they continue to do this? HOW DARE THEY?!
Besides, by the looks of this photo taken only two days ago, it's not like the Australian Navy has got much else better to do. Here are our great Aussie sailors playing cricket on Australia day aboard the HMAS Adelaide:
I know it's hard for the Japanese government to accept this, but I am pretty sure that if the situation were reversed, and a company from the United States, UK or Australia flew into what is effectively Japanese airspace and started slaughtering protected 'Japanese' Red-crowned migratory cranes in the most cruel way imagineable and then we then started openly selling Red-crowned crane meat in our supermarkets while claiming we are 'researching' them, many Japanese citizens would be very annoyed (and rightly so).
Do you really think the whaling boat captains are going to hang about with an Adelaide-class guided missile frigate in close proximity?
We don't tolerate illegal fishing by Indonesians in our waters. Why should we tolerate this any longer? So I say to hell with international diplomacy!
(And if we are worried about diplomacy by sending a navy ship out there, we can always print "RESEARCH" in big white capital letters right down the side of our vessel first... touché)
If Australian citizens are subject to all manner of quarantine rules and regulations —HOW IS IT— how is it, that this entire foreign owned and operated whaling fleet can slip past 3180 kilometres of East-Australian coastline, continue on into icy Antarctic waters supposedly governed by an International Antarctic Treaty (and in fact signed by Japan on Decemeber 1st 1959), hunt as many whales as they like down there despite contravening the "Agreed measures for the conservation of antarctic fauna and flora", the "Protocol on environmental protection to the antarctic treaty" and the "Convention for the conservation of antarctic marine living resources", spear them all to death with explosive penthrite grenades, load three hundred or more of these mercury-laden whale carcasses in the Nisshin Maru and head on back up the same 3180 kilometres of East-Australian coastline all the way to Japan without so much as an official warning letter from the Australian Fisheries Management Authority?
I have seen tourists get more in to trouble with life guards for them attempting to take some sand home from the Canary Islands!
What the hell is going on in this country if that is knowingly still allowed to take place??? Why do we even have a naval fleet if all they're going to do is practice exercises?
The Australian branch of Humane Society International claims that Kyodo Senpaku, the Japanese firm that conducts the controversial hunts, is in contempt of court after ignoring a 2008 federal court injunction not to slaughter the animals in a whale sanctuary declared by the Australian government. Their vessels could be seized on the grounds that they are carrying contaminated ballast water. Where are all of our anal-retentive customs agents when we really need them?

I don't have facebook, so I can't put it up there. Let's get 50 to 500k signatures on this, and then I will send it out to the Navy, government ministers, etc. I want the Japanese whalers to see this petition. I am speaking up on behalf of all whales. They can hardly speak for themselves, can they? That's right. I am a whale. And I'm not very happy about this situation at all. Not happy at all.

I think it is high time for heavier sanctions, and much stronger warnings rather than all of this cowardly diplomacy that you're been undertaking up until now. I'm calling for direct intervention by the Australian government.
If this is not done, what good is even having a treaty in the first place? If any member can break it without repurcussion or consequence?
I'm sure you're aware that many people have already been dragged through international courts. And guess what? That approach doesn't appear to have worked in the slightest.
I'd like to remind you all of the following:

Australian officials already slapped a piss-ant one-million-dollar fine on them. And who made that figure up I wonder? At current inflation rates, a miserly carrot will cost more than that within a few years... one million dollars indeed. Did they even pay up?
Honestly, I'm shaking my head in disgust right now... if only you could see it. I'm just shaking my head.
Has either the Japanese government or Kyodo Senpaku submitted the relevent paperwork to the appropriate Australian animal researchers ethics committee? (Animal Care and Ethics Committee, ACEC).

Australians are bound by those laws. See the "gov.au"? Yet foreign boats come into the waters that surround us, with this pathetic excuse of scientific animal research, and break all kinds of international laws and treaties in the process.
Among other things, we all know that politicians are good at stalling. At finding lots of bureaucratic loopholes and things to keep the status quo going on for, well, the next revolution or the fall of modern civilisation or something.
So where is the red tape when it's really needed? EH? Why not play them at their own game? Why not send them home on a technicality?
But in order for you buggers to pull that trick, they'd need to be intercepted first.
Do you really think those Japanese captains are going to hang about with an Adelaide-class guided missile frigate in close proximity? No. They'll be running their four sorry ships all the way back home and we can be done with this 'research' bullshit once and for all.

P.P:S: And if you do decide to wuss out, and you don't send one of our bigger Naval boats down to Antarctica to "meet and greet them" so to speak, can you at least intercept them with a smaller customs patrol boat and proceed to perform lots of really deep anal inspections –preferably without any lubrication– under suspicion that they are drug trafficking heroin/ecstacy/ice?
I don't know how they can get away with this in the year 2021, I really don't.
