My name is Ali Broussard, and I am a resident of Auburn Dr. SW, Cartersville, GA.
My home, along with several of my neighbors' homes, has been severely flooded twice in the past month. While heavy rains played a role, we believe there may be additional factors contributing to the overwhelming water levels that have devastated our community.
We are currently working to investigate this further, but we do not believe this is solely caused by natural weather conditions. Something is interfering with our drainage system, and we need Bartow County officials to take immediate action to investigate the cause and implement preventive measures to protect our community from future disasters.
The damage has been devastating — I lost nearly everything, including my car, my belongings, my at-home business supplies, and even my food. The floodwaters became so dangerous that I had to be rescued out of my window by boat.
