Once upon a time I was literally kicked out of an entire town because I Refused to Suck my Slumlord at the time, Charles "Rusty" Ransford's, Dick and the ENTIRE Town of North Adams did their damnedest to try helping him to get me on my knees. I lost my Section 8 housing, eventually my Social Security, the Po-LICE called my Dr. and I don't know what they told him but I was cut off my medication and the list goes on and on and on. I was left to die homeless and penniless in the harsh cold winter streets. Since I Never dropped to my knees for that Old Dirty Fucking Scummy Bastard despite everyone's best efforts and I'm still alive, I believe I WON. 

So as you can clearly see the ABUSIVE, Unprofessional Behaviour of this Police Department WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!

I was told by a therapist I have Military Grade Heavy Combat PTSD From what North Adams did to me!

Luckily for You All, the people I'm dealing with only took my store, so I'm being VERY VERY VERY Nice right now. I AM NOT AFRAID OF ANY OF YOU and all I want you to do is YOUR JOB. The last time I heard that was supposed to be to "Protect and Serve". I guess I should be asking WHO you're supposed to be protecting and serving because from my past experience it's most certainly Not the Innocent. I KNOW because I AM PROOF. Go look at my record. I'm over 50 and I have NEVER been arrested, in fact I barely got my first parking ticket recently because I was told the first 30 minutes were free but they weren't. I don't drink, I don't do any drugs, I'm usually very quiet and I like to mind my own business.

My name is Royce Marie Patton, owner of G.A.I.A. Energy Attuning Center LLC and on April 23, 2019 I filled out an application to lease the retail space located at 351 North Street from Joe Reisz of The Kinderhook Group. Two months went by and I hadn't heard from Mr. Reisz so I called. At that time Joe Reisz told me that the owner of the building was having an issue locating the person in charge of dealing with the lease for that particular unit. Jor Reisz actually told me the following story: "They don't know if he quit, got fired, was on vacation," he even chuckled a little bit and said "who knows he could have died". Joe Reisz then told me I had to wait because the owners of 351 North Street needed to hire someone new to deal with my lease. After that I called Mr. Reisz every two weeks and asked if they had hired anyone yet, he continued telling me no and I had to wait some more.

On November first I received a call from Bonnie Demers of POAH, Preservation of Affordable Housing, asking me if I was ready to sign the lease. I excitedly screeched YES! Bonnie then told me that I could not sign the lease until I got insurance. She immediately sent me an email stating that the lease was being drawn up and added in some instructions for insurance requirements and a few other things, Here is a copy of that email:

November first was a Friday. I had to call Bonnie back because I noticed a discrepancy in the square footage, the internal documents said 1,683 sq ft and the original real estate listing said 3,360 sq ft, so I asked Bonnie which number was correct. She was very evasive and never really answered me so I just gave the bigger number to the insurance agent.

On Monday morning, before my insurance agent could get back to me, I received a very early phone call from Bonnie Demers of POAH, Preservation of Affordable Housing, stating that someone accidentally gave my space to another applicant.

I am confused. How come I had to wait seven months for POAH to hire someone to deal with my lease yet somehow, over the weekend, someone else was magically authorized to sign away leases?
This is just my first question. I have many more because here it is almost a year later and now I see "Nail Salon" on the window of the storefront that I was promised and I was made to wait for while the specifically hired someone to deal with signing my lease. I truly believe I have been Unfairly treated and Discriminated against by POAH and I want to know WHY?

I have reported POAH (Preservation of Affordable Housing) to the IRS for Tax Fraud. I have Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (Complaint  #14170901) . I am currently waiting on a response from both.

   I have spoke about this at a town meeting where city officials were in attendance, including the Mayor. I have given Senator Hinds assistant Alfred "A.J." Enchill Jr. all of this information as well and Still NOTHING is being done.

I have been Protesting the Preservation of Affordable Housing, located at 333 North Street Pittsfield, MA, and their Unfair, Deceptive and down right ABUSIVE business practices since January 29, 2020 Monday through Thursday (their office hours) from 8 am until 4:30 pm and despite the fact that I have personally contacted The Berkshire Eagle over a dozen times, including putting all of this information in one of their reporter's hands myself, Amanda Drane, who was also at that town meeting hands myself and still this corrupt and unethical behavior has gone unchecked.

 I will continue to protest until something is done about this because I know this much, if they can do me this dirty this easy then they have done it before to other people lots and lots of times and if they can get away with this after all the fussing I have done Nobody will ever be safe from their Unfair, Deceptive, Unethical, Corrupt and downright Abusive Business Practices.

    I Believe I Deserve the Retail Space that was Promised to Me almost a YEAR Ago, I was made to wait for it Due to a Company Error that Had to be Fixed Before it could be signed over to ME, I waited Patriently and Respectfully and I am Still Waiting! I also want to be compensated for My Financial Losses and Suffering at a Bare Minimum and this is what I currently believe is fair and just: 

In regards to the space located at 351 North Street, this is what I believe is fair and just to me and my company G.A.I.A. Energy Attuning Center LLC at this point in time. 

1. I would like my store as soon as possible. There is NO Other Option. Start looking for another place to put the Nail Salon Immediately!   I Am Absolutely NOT Budging On This. Plain and Simple.
2. I would like to be a tenant at will, so I don't ever have to ever worry about another company mistake or feel the threat of having to leave in three years due to backlash or retaliation. It's offensive, since I've actually already waited over a year now for this space. We can negotiate rent increases every five years. I believe after all I've been through I deserve this peace of mind.
3. I would like any damage done by whatever equipment the Nail Salon may have caused fixed because 351 North Street was in pristine move in condition the last time I saw it right down to the carpet. 
4. POAH Will Pay for Heat and Electricity Completely with No Exceptions. Plain and Simple.
5. I believe your insurance requirements are wrong because my insurance agent said they were "absolutely crazy for a start up business". He even told me one underwriter refused to even give him a quote because your company's requirements were "so ridiculous". The thing that caught my attention was the business vehicle insurance part. I found it strange that your company would have any control over the business vehicle insurance at all since the business does not actually come with an official parking spot. My insurance agent says the type of business vehicle insurance your company requires looks like it's more for a delivery service. I will be getting business vehicle insurance but I only have one vehicle not a fleet of delivery vans so I will be getting NORMAL Start Up Insurance Only.
6. POAH will pay for me to park in front of my store every single day that I am there.
7. I will begrudgingly settle out of court for a measly $500,000.00 and a year of Free Rent. Despite all the hardships POAH (Preservation of Affordable Housing) has put me through, I'm willing to forgive and move on. I would think you'd be all too grateful for the opportunity to accept my generous offer after all of the losses your ReDickYouLouse B.S. and Unfair, Deceptive, Unethical business practices has caused me And my company.
