Don't Ban Canadian Weathercasters from Talking about Climate Change!

All weathercasters employed by the Canadian Meteorological society (a division of Environment Canada) have been banned from talking about climate change.  This is another move on the government’s part to keep the public uninformed about climate change.

The government is saying that weathercasters do not have the expertise to talk about climate change. However, these meteorologists undergo years of training to learn about severe weather changes.  This, along with the fact that the government has barred other scientists from discussing climate change without political clearance, makes it seem as though the government is wanting to limit and control the information Canadians have access to regarding climate change.

Tell the Canadian Meteorological Service to let Canadian weathercasters talk about climate change and keep the public informed!
