Massachusetts schools have officially scheduled the reopening of schools to be on January 11, 2021. They have created a hybrid schedule that will consist of both remote and in person classes. Students are given the opportunity to choose whether they would like to stay entirely remote or attend hybrid and they will be met with no consequences.
However, the teachers who are unable to attend school physically due to health problems were not given the opportunity to remain remote. The District of Massachusetts is forcing them to stop teaching and stay at home on a medical leave. Those who wished to continue teaching were denied the opportunity to do so and they are being replaced by completely new teachers.
Help us fight for the teachers in our district that have dedicated their lives to teach their students to the best of their ability. If students have the right to choose to stay remote, so should the teachers.
