Demand animal conscious management at MAS/sanctuary

Memphis Animal Services has been run by corrupt non-animal caring people for over 20 years. Animal behaviorists and even volunteers have come and gone to tell the dirty truth about the inner operations about this place. An old petition was started by a 16 year old, which he was disclosing horrific horrific actions, that I cannot even believe I was even reading. " Over the years this particle shelter has had multiple investigations and accusations some have been proven true dealing with activities such as dog fighting, animal cruelty, and unaccounted for animals linked to the shelter. Not only do they kill thousands of animals a year but, they don't do carry out this practice the correct way. The humane way to put an animal down is to use a sedative injection followed by a lethal solution injected into their hearts. This allows the animal to die peacefully and calmly quite similar to falling asleep. But at the shelter in a 2012 incident it was found that sometimes neither one of the injections are use. Two employees were actually charged with aggravated animal cruelty for choking an animal to death. Just think if this was your family pet that had only been missing for a couple of days how would you feel? If this dog was owned by someone was the family even notified and if they weren't why not? I don't know about most people but for me losing one of animals is just as hurtful as when I lose a family member." This is an atrocity to understand that this is literally going on in a "SHELTER". I am an avid animal right advocate that works my ass off to take the time and the little money I have to help contribute to find homes for those that I foster. Those that I save off of the streets, when I know I cannot financially support them full time, but I at least pick them up to get out of harms way. The point is, the Memphis community works around the clock using all of their resources, NO HELP FROM MEMPHIS ANIMALS SERVICES WHATSOEVER!!!. The intake is expanding and out of control, but the lack of ANIMAL FRIENDLY STAFF AND MEDICAL SERVICES TO CREATE ADOPTABLE DOGS AND WORK WITH RESCUES, FOSTERS AND OR VOLUNTEERS IS NOT AT ALL THERE.
