On Thursday January 11, 2024 it was brought to the attention of many in the Lehigh Valley animal rescue world that a very highly suspicious death occurred to a weeks old kitten. This kitten was adopted from a local rescue and later taken to a veterinarian where it needed to be humanly euthanized do to suffering server skull fractures. The veterinarian concluded this was the best option to end suffering that the kitten could not recover from. This them prompted the veterinarian to contact the rescue who adopted the kitten out to warm them that they felt the story being told on how these injuries occurred was completely unbelievable and the adopters should be put on a DNA ( Do Not Adopt) list.
Within hours of this kitten being euthanized the adopters then posted (we have pics of the post) seeking another kitten. That post has since been taken down but as stated many have pics of that post seeking what seems to be another kitten to kill. I mean who does that. Who within hours of having a poor defenseless kitten euthanized seeks another? We have conversation from the adopters trying to explain how this happened which is a complete 180 from what they told the vet. Why not tell the truth from the beginning? The stories all make no sense. Especially the second one where they claim in "their own words" they witnessed the kitten self inflict these wounds because it was scared of a dog. We say BULL SHIT a kitten or cat would never smash its own skull in no matter how scared it was. Why is this story in their own words completely different from what they told the vet.
These people are volunteers or are affiliated with a local fire company and many find this disturbing. Animal lovers of all kinds, and the general public need answers. We need them now!! Please sign this petition to demand answers for this poor defenseless kitten so we then can go to television and print media and our towns and county officials as well as state representatives to demand answers and a full investigation so this senseless act of cruelty cannot be repeated.

P.S. Its been reported that they've had cats in the past where there's posts of the cats then nothing. Have they done this before. Please remember the kitten had to be humanely euthanized and with verifiable proof within hours of this they posted on social media seeking another kitten! Who does this!
