In a shocking miscarriage of justice, Donald Trump has issued a blanket pardon for over 1500 of the January 6th rioters who attacked our Capitol building in a brazen attempt to overthrow our democracy itself.
Now these violent right-wing extremists, many of whom assaulted Capitol Police officers and defaced the inside of the Capitol building, are walking free once again. But they aren't entirely in the clear. Philadelphia's attorney general Larry Krasner is looking into the possibility of filing state charges against the rioters in an effort to put them back behind bars.
Charge the January 6th mob again!
Krasner is looking at an uphill climb to see justice done, but we need him and every other state attorney general in the country to do their damnedest to see that these dangerous men and women pay the price for their appalling actions. He believes that there were additional crimes committed by the January 6th rioters that were not charged in the first prosecution — and thus wouldn't be covered by Trump's pardons.
"Those of us who actually believe in the rule of law, and actually believe in the law, and actually believe in order — in other words, those of us who are not MAGA — intend to preserve the values, traditions, laws and Constitution of the United States," Krasner said. "And that means accountability for the co-conspirators of the 34-time felon president." We couldn't agree more. LOCK THEM BACK UP!
