Yolanda Saldívar is currently incarcerated for the murder of famous Tejano singer, Selelna Quintanilla-Perez. Selena, who was 23 at the time of her death, was shot by Yolanda Saldívar when questioning her about financial records that Yolanda refused to pass over. Yolanda stole from the Quintanilla family, not only money but she carelessly and selfishly took the life of Selena on March 31st 1995. She refused to face the concequences for her theft and in order to escape, she murdered an innocent, talented, young girl who had so much to offer the world.
Though it has been over 20 years, Selena lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and fans. She had so much left to do in life, so much that she didn't get to experience because of Yolanda Saldívar. If not for Saldívar, Selena could have had children now and went beyond anything she had already done with her career.
She was only 23. She was just beginning to live.

She doesn't deserve freedom and she definitely does not deserve to live her life after taking the life of someone else.
Though 2025 is still 7 years away, it's never too early to address the real issue. Yolanda Saldívar was sentenced to LIFE imprisonment yet she has the possibility of being released after only 30 years.
Selena would have been 53 at that time, but because of Yolanda, Selena is 23 forever and he life and accomplishments stopped the moment Yolanda held a gun on her.
