Parents today are facing more stresses than they ever have. Balancing work commitments, childcare and e-learning absolutely necessitates a school model that listens to parent's voices and concerns and provides appropriate learning models that meet the needs of the children as well as the parents and teachers.
In the absence of parents being asked in any way shape or form if synchronous learning was a good fit for their children and families, Northview missed the chance to hear our voices. Mandatory Synchronous Learning is absolutely not what will fit our families best at this time and will result in undue hardship on our schedules, childcare situations and mental health.
We ask that each family be able to choose what's best for them and that administrators respond in kind. We should have the choice to continue to log in at a time that is the best fit for our schedules and families and we absolutely reject the idea of mandatory scheduled learning times.
