Kaleb Schwade, a 6 month old baby in Tampa, FL is currently in the PICU because of abuse suffered at the hands of childcare worker Rebecca Saunders. Saunders shook Kaleb, causing spinal fluid to build in his skull, creating pressure on his brain. Kaleb has been in the PICU for over a month now, and will probably remain there for another couple of weeks, if not longer. Because of Saunders' actions, Kaleb is now blind, and the doctor's say that if he lives, he will probably be in a vegetative state for the rest of his life. To top it all off, Saunders was released from jail on a $5000 bond. THIS IS NOT JUSTICE. In no way does anything "right the wrong" done in this case, but a bond of only $5000 is just an insult. She is walking the streets while poor Kaleb is fighting for his life every second. I know in my heart that this woman deserves the worst possible penalty for her crime, and I urge the FL prosecution to fight for it. Please fight for this innocent child!
