INNOCENT IN NEW LISBON PRISON

Brian Lawler is an  obtained minister, father of four and has been married for twenty years. Around three years ago a man and his wife moved into the Lawler's neighborhood  (Steinies dr. and Bergen) this is just off Dempsey road on the East Side of Madison, Wisconsin. At that point the Lawler's home and vehicles were being vandalized. The Lawler family began  filing police reports. On July 4th, 2008 the video home security system  that was installed on their property caught the individual vandalizing their home and vehicles. A complaint was made to the Madison Police Department. Mrs. Lawler identified her neighbor in the video. She indicated to the police officer that she wished to press charges. The officer refused to do so. It wasn't  until later that Mrs. Lawler was informed that her neighbor's father was a police officer and his father in law was a judge. Mrs. Lawler made numerous complaints and had video of her neighbor following her and her children. Even after threats were made against her family Madison  Police refused to enforce the law. Finally Mrs. Lawler filed a complaint of selective enforcement of the law with the mayor's office (Police & Fire Commission) at  that time her husband Brian Lawler was later arrested, he was charged with stalking. He and his family were not allowed to testify in his trial. Judge Patrick Fiedler gave Mr. Lawler nearly the maximum sentance of eight years in prison and seventeen years of extended supervision. He welcomed the acjusing neighbor's father in-law (the judge) to his court and said it was a pleasure having him there. Mr. Lawler is eligible for early release in July,2013. His family has began raising the money to retain him a lawyer so that an appeal can be filed. The expected cost for this appeal could total about $35,000. Mrs. Lawler is employed by the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) but due to being under a doctor's care for a medical condition she may not be able to continue. Mrs. Lawler has been so depressed because of being separated from her husband that she has attempted suicide. Since this began Mr. Lawler has had three Grandparents pass away. His Grandfather Retired City of Madison Capt. Keith F. Lawler passed away just prior to sentencing. Judge Patrick Fiedler refused to allow Mr. Lawler to attend his grandfather's funeral. Mr. Lawler's father Stephen T. Lawler is a retired school principal that moved to Corona, California. Mr. Lawler's mother  Darlene Chisholm is  suffering from a serious brain tumor and it is likely that Mr.Lawler's wife and parents will not survive until his release. To contact Mr. Lawler write to Brian Lawler DOC# 158619 New Lisbon Correctional Institution P.O. Box 4000 New Lisbon, WI 53950. To contact his family write to Tanya Lawler P.O. box 14131 Madison, WI 53708. Mr. Lawler could be home on an appeal as soon as eight months from now. His family has been speaking with a brilliant attorney and hopes and prays to retain him. Mr.  Lawler's health is not good he is suffering from a serious immune system disease and has lost over 100 lbs. Mr.  Lawler's  case # is 2008CF001456 The district attorney in STATE VS. Lawler failed to remove himself from the trial or disclose a conflict of interest as he knew Brian Lawler for nearly twenty-five years. The TRIAL Judge Patrick Fiedler also failed to remove himself or disclose his conflict of interest as he knew the accusing Neighbor's father in-law (also a judge.) Well, the court and prosecution repeatedly identified the defendant Brian Lawler of Madison, WI as Caucasian yet the fact of the matter is that Brian Lawler's race is Native American. Blackfoot Nation Blood tribe to be precise! Mr. Lawler's family's hope is that they are soon able to retain the most brilliant appeal attorney in Wisconsin so that Brian can soon be reunited with his family. We pray for justice!
