About
150,000 stray and unwanted cats and dogs are killed in gas chambers in Japanese animal shelters every year. The Japanese government must take action to
stop gassing and stop killing animals immediately.
These gas chambers are called "dream boxes," but they don't lead to dreams – they lead to cruel, slow, excruciating asphyxiation by carbon dioxide. Death by "dream boxes" can sometimes take as long as 15 minutes, while the animals inside struggle to be released.
We, the undersigned, raise our voices for those who cannot. Dogs and cats cannot survive in the wild and have no choice but to coexist with human beings. A growing number of irresponsible pet owners leave their no longer wanted wards to shelters where they are unceremoniously dispatched. It's time to learn from animal-welfare-advanced countries like Germany and Scandinavian nations and create a society free from the scourge of kill shelters.
We demand an end to cruel kill shelters in Japan, and an end to the puppy mill industry. Japan must strengthen animal cruelty laws to eliminate large-scale animal abuses!
We need to collect 1 MILLION SIGNATURES for the End Kill Shelters in Japan project. #EndAnimalDisposal. Please sign and help us put a stop to cruel animal culling!
This is how they get killed in gas chambers.
