Speak up against animal neglect and abuse

Zeus was 7 years old when his owners surrendered him at the hospital.

Weighing just two kilograms, Zeus was surrendered with horrific injuries synonymous with neglect and abuse. With hypotension, acute kidney injury, anemia, rib fractures, and chemical burns on his head and eyes it was clear Zeus' injuries were caused intentionally by a human.

This type of ill treatment towards animals has no place in our society, yet some still think nothing of hurting a defenseless animal.

The Toronto Humane Society rescues thousands of homeless, abused & neglected animals in the GTA, Ontario and beyond. We welcomed Zeus with open arms and are nursing him back to health – he's doing great and is learning to trust humans again.

But, we can't do this life-saving work alone. It takes all of us working together to prevent cruelty and ensure innocent animals like Zeus receive the love and care they deserve. Will you join us?
