Demand that the Mayor of Zante investigates the barbaric murder of several stray dogs and prosecutes the people responsible.

Zante Strays (charity group) have reported that several dogs were murdered by person or persons unknown and that it would appear that they were doused in petrol and set alight. This behaviour will not be tolerated and we are demanding that a full investigation takes place and the guilty people are arrested. We want a neutering scheme to be set up and more done to get these dogs and cats off the streets and into loving homes.There are animal charities who are doing all they can for the animals but if the people of Zante are not prosecuted for animal abandonment and cruelty this problem will not go away.

Thank you to everyone who has signed .The Mayor of Zante will not respond to my emails and messages and blames the tourists for feeding the strays. The Authorities do nothing to promote a neutering programme and still fail to prosecute people who abandon their animals to die. Please if you care as much as I do please support the wonderful charities in Zante who are trying to get the strays off the streets. HealingPaws and Zante Strays. Thank you ❤️

The stray animals of Zante need the support of caring people, so many wonderful people around the world are outraged by this barbaric cruelty and still the Mayor of Zakinthos has not responded to the petition which is still growing in numbers. We must keep signing and sharing and shame the Greek Authorities into taking action to arrest those responsible for these heinous crimes. We need to get them away from harm and into protected care.
