Madonna - Leave all children's genitals intact
We, the undersigned, remind Madonna:
- circumcision is not part of Kabbalah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kabbalah_Centre),
- circumcision removes half the sensual nerve endings,
- circumcision leaves the exposed areas to get dried and insensitive,
- circumcision robs a man and his partner of the natural frictionless rolling/gliding mode of stimulation,
- over 80% of the world does not practice circumcision,
- less than 5% of UK boys are being circumcised,
- cosmetic surgery on an infant is risky,
- NO NATIONAL HEALTH ORGANIZATION IN THE WORLD recommends routine infant circumcision.
Only a fully informed adult can morally consent to cosmetic amputation of any part of his own body.
It has been reported that Madonna intends to circumcise her adopted 1-year-old son, in the name of Kabbalah. The natural father objects. This is understandable since he is a Christian and over 85% of the world's Christians are intact. Circumcision is not practiced in Malawi, Africa, where the boy is from. It would certainly be outrageous if an African adopted a US baby and took it to Africa for genital mutilation.
Circumcision is not part of Kabbalah, as Kabbalah scholar Benny Halfon recently wrote: "to practice Kabbalah in your life you don’t have to change anything, just treat others with human dignity, this is the essence of Kabbalah."
As shown in this 20-minute video by Doctors Opposing Circumcision (http://www.doctorsopposingcircumcision.org/video/prepuce.html), the foreskin has great value and removing it is a violation of an infant's human right to bodily integrity, as recognized by the United Nations: http://www.cirp.org/library/ethics/UN-convention/
Over 80% of the world does not practice circumcision http://www.circumstitions.com/Maps.html and less than 5% of UK boys are being circumcised. Even in the US, the rate of infant cutting is dropping; close to 50/50 overall and below 30% in western states.

Madonna, as a highly regarded proponent of frankness with respect to human sensuality, should know better than to condone the non-consensual amputation of genital tissues from a minor, least of all from someone she pledges to personally care for.
Madonna, please leave your newly adopted son intact and proclaim to the world that intactness is every child's right.
