Stop Big Oil's Tar Sands Invasion!
The Keystone XL tar sands pipeline was only the beginning. Big Oil has a much bigger plan to triple the production of climate-wrecking tar sands oil in Canada and send as much as 6 million barrels a day gushing into America. That's nearly enough oil to fill up the Empire State Building... every single day.
Our nation could soon face a "tar sands invasion" of epic proportions: a sprawling network of pipelines... a navy's-worth of supertankers and barges plying our rivers and coasts... and an enormous fleet of explosive railway tank cars.
At risk: San Francisco Bay, Puget Sound, the Great Lakes, the Hudson River and more. No matter where you live, there's a good chance you'll be in the danger zone.
The oil giants want us to believe this invasion is inevitable. But their onslaught can be stopped — if we act now.
Tell President Obama to stop Big Oil's tar sands assault and protect our natural heritage, our communities and our climate from the dangers of filthy tar sands oil.

I am alarmed by the oil industry's plans to triple the amount of heavy tar sands crude flowing to American refineries. Importing this dirty, climate-wrecking fuel is a direct and grave threat to our communities, our natural heritage and our planet. Please turn back this "tar sands invasion" by:
-- Rejecting any proposal that allows new flows of tar sands oil into the U.S.
-- Directing federal agencies to take aggressive action to protect us from the threats posted by the transport of heavy tar sands crude
-- Putting clean energy at the center of your talks with Canada
