Under the 2013 Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, a number of countries have undertaken a ban on the international trade of 76 endangered plant and animal species. However, Canada has not been implementing this ban.
Some countries have filed reservations about the ban. But Canada has filed many more reservations than any other country. There is no good reason for these reservations, as Canada needs to do its part in protecting endangered species.
Canada, Ban the International Trade of Endangered Species!
