On February 2013, Warner Bros. had announced that "Mouse Cleaning" or "Casanova Cat" would not be appearing because of "inappropriate racial stereotypes." If that was the case, then why are others in the previous DVD releases have the same thing, for example "His Mouse Friday", "Saturday Night Puss" and a few others, and yet they have racial stereotypes.
After this news was released, collectors and fans have posted negative reviews. They are demanding that they release the Golden Collection Vol.2 complete. In my case, I was extremely excited that they were finally completing Tom and Jerry until I read the news about this. I feel rather cheated because I don't want to buy a new release that has the same episodes I already do have on three other volumes. So please Tom and Jerry fans, put your cheese and mouse traps together and sign this petition and have the COMPLETE Tom and Jerry released!
Dear Warner Bros.,
Many fans have commented a lot of negativity about the Tom and Jerry Golden Collection Vol. 2 you'll be releasing in June. If it was a collection, then it would be complete. Everyone feels leaving out Mouse Cleaning and Casanova Cat is a direct blow and disrespect to Joseph Barbera and William Hanna because they created these cartoons for our entertainment. They are not meant to be taken seriously. I hope you reconsider and redo the collection again so we can have those two specific cartoons so you can satisfy the viewers and the fans in all.
Thank you for your time.
