Stop Laboratory Beagle Breeding Facility in East Yorkshire!
A new facility will breed 200 beagles for laboratory experiments unless the High Court challenges the decision.
Despite protests from animal rights activists and residents in the facility's planned location of Grimston, East Yorkshire, Communities Secretary Greg Clark backed an appeal from breeders Bantin & Kingman Ltd to green light the facility.
Researchers use beagles in experiments because the breed is characteristically docile, trusting and forgiving. It is wildly unethical to take advantage of dogs' loving and loyal natures to abuse them in painful experiments. The new facility would put a dark cloud over its location and would contribute to the suffering of 200 intelligent and affectionate animals.
Please sign the petition to urge the UK Court to challenge plans to build a beagle breeding facility!
I am outraged that a new facility in Grimston, East Yorkshire will breed 200 beagles for laboratory experiments.
Despite protests from animal rights activists and residents in the facility's planned location of Grimston, East Yorkshire, Communities Secretary Greg Clark backed an appeal from breeders Bantin & Kingman Ltd to green light the facility.

It is wildly unethical to take advantage of dogs' loving and loyal natures to abuse them in painful experiments. The new facility would put a dark cloud over its location and would contribute to the suffering of 200 intelligent and affectionate animals.
The breeding facility can still be stopped if the UK Court challenges the decision. I respectfully urge you to use your influence to stand with animal welfare and the residents of East Yorkshire and stop this breeding facility! Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this petition.
