Dr. Mahavir Singh Rekhi is a veterinarian working for Skyway Animal Hospital in St. Catherine's. Recent security footage release shows Rekhi choking animals, beating them, dangling them by their tails and back legs and more. His punishment? 10 MONTH SUSPENTION. This man should NEVER be allowed to touch another animal again, and he should be imprisoned for severe animal abuse!
He has been offered a chance for a minimal 4 month suspension if he completes a short course on how to properly restrain animals. But let me ask you this...is this a man that you would ever want to put a hand on your animals EVER again? Or anyone else's? He has been a vet for 17 years now, so God knows how long this abuse has gone on already.
The College of Veterinarians is close to having his license revoked, but I say he deserves that, PLUS jail time!!! If this were human lives he had abused, he would not see the outside of a jail cell for years! That is NOT fair to the innocent creatures he has abused and the families who have moarned over what has happened to their pets!
