Fox fur farms are deplorable places where wild animals are kept in tiny wire cages, and then cruely slaughtered. In most places where foxes are farmed for fur there is little to no regulations or oversights to ensure the well-being of these animals.
Having access to a global market creates the need for higher ethical buying and selling practices. Although the sale of fox fur is legal, most of the farms where it is obtained fall tragically short of humane standards.
