Litter is not only disgusting to look at, but it takes hundreds of years to break down and can harm wildlife. The small state of New Jersey has almost 1,600 pieces of litter visible per mile, of which 45% is deliberate! New Jersey can be a very clean place if we all work together. You can help our state stay clean by telling the governor to enforce littering laws!

Dear Chris Christie,
I am creating this petition in hopes that New Jersey will soon be litter-free. Drive down any highway, especially up North, and the litter is unbearable. Drive down a back road in a small town, and the litter still doesn't stop! I think our state needs to better enforce littering laws. Many people don't worry when they throw a piece of garbage out the window, thinking they will not get caught. This needs to end. Please better enforce littering laws so our state can stay beautiful.
Regards,
Ms. Dina Brown
