Five senior citizens are serving sentences of life without parole for non-violent crimes related to marijuana. All have been in prison for at least 15 years. We the undersigned join with NORML and the Law Offices of Michael Kennedy, P.C. in requesting you to grant clemency to John Knock, Paul Free, Larry Duke, William Dekle, and Charles “Fred” Cundiff. All five are all more than 60 years old, have spent at least 15 years apiece locked up for selling pot, and are serving life without parole.
Such sentences are entirely out of proportion to the non-violent crime they committed. Please grant these five people clemency, rather than let them languish in prison for the rest of their lives.
