The owners of the field Bluebell Meadows are utilising a loop hole in the planning laws to seek to hold wedding parties and festivals on the land. The owners of the field are advertising Wales' largest ever wedding festival and state that they can host "a few thousand" party goers on the field.
Suffice to say, the owners of BluebellMeadows do not live in Llancarfan and seem oblivious or apathetic to the damage and harm they will cause in pursuit of commercial gain.
It will create an intolerable nuisance for the residents of Llancarfan and Walterston. It is clearly a commercial enterprise but no change of use application has been made.
The Welsh Assembly is requested to amend the Planning Bill to exclude commercial enterprises from the 28 day rule. This will prevent this and other similar exploitation of the planning laws to the detriment of the residents of beautiful rural areas.
This issue affects the whole of Wales. Your neighbourhood could be next to fall victim to such land use under the guise of permitted development.

An innocent girl was attacked last night at Middle Hill last night by a cowardly thug. Fortunately he was caught on cctv. The poor girl was enjoying her first visit to Llancarfan and book club in a room of 8 other girls. She sustained a fractured skill and bleed on the brain and had to undergo emergency brain surgery. Our thoughts are with her. A dozen emergency vehicles, armed response units, helicopter, CID etc. Let's hope they catch the perpetrators and bring them to justice

As predicted the landscape is being altered. Some grubby old caravan is parked in the entrance to the field - clearly a sign of things to come. What sort of people are attracted to such weddings? This area's natural beauty is being diminished already. I shall park my Disco to block the eyesore...
