Save Lenox's American Elm tree

The stately. mature, healthy American Elm at the intersection of New Lenox rd and Rts.7/20 in Lenox (next to the Different Drummer kitchen store) is marked for removal as part of National Grid's tree-cutting program to mitigate power outages. This tree poses negligible threat to the nearby power lines and is one of the increasingly rare and exceptional examples of American Elms that have survived the devasting effects of the Dutch elm disease. Please sign our petition to call on Rolling Hills Condominiums, the Town of Lenox and National Grid to save this fine American Elm tree at one of the primary gateways to Lenox.
