Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl of Idaho was captured by the Afghan Taliban in June 2009. His family and supporters have waited patiently for his return but now feel the U.S. Government is not doing enough to secure his safe release - calling the continued delays “unacceptable.”
The Taliban has released numerous propaganda videos showing a frightened Bergdahl begging for America to bring him home to his family. Yet, nobody seems to be paying attention.
Although, the United States does not negotiate with terrorists, Sgt. Bergdahl’s capture must remain a top priority for the U.S. government as well as for his fellow American’s. We cannot allow a fellow citizen to languish in the hands of terrorists any longer!
Please sign this petition telling President Barack Obama that you will not allow Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl to be forgotten and to please facilitate his release as soon as possible!
Dear President Obama,
Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has been held captive by the Taliban since 2009. While we understand that the United States cannot negotiate with terrorists, we the undersigned implore you to rescue Bergdahl.
We will not sit idly by while he languishes in their clutches!
