UPDATE: Apparently, the offending photo has been taken down off the site, so I have taken it down from this petition, as well. I'll keep this petition up for three days, in case he decides to put it back on. Thank you to everyone who signed! I'm calling this a victory.
On July 20, 2012, James Holmes killed 12 people and wounded 70 others by gunfire, when he entered the Century 21 theater in Aurora Colorado, during the midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises. One of the photographs widely seen in the aftermath of this tragedy was this one of Senator Mark Udall, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, President Barack Obama, and Senator Michael Bennet, grieving for the victims of this tragedy.
Pro-gun activist and KNUS "Shock Jock" Peter Boyles then photoshopped this picture to mock the officials grief over the tragedy. Boyles has posted this photo on the website of his radio show at http://www.710knus.com/peterboyles.aspx, and uses it to promote his many conservative causes, including that of stopping gun control legislation from being enacted.
We find this exploitation of a tragedy to be tasteless, crass, and lacking in compassion for the many victims of the Century 1 movie shooting in Aurora. Stop promoting gun violence to further a pro-gun agenda.

Mr. Taylor,
We are great believers in freedom of speech, and are exercising it with this petition. We thank you for removing the photoshopped image of our elected officials grieving after the Aurora shooting on July 20, 2012.
We respectfully ask you to restrain your morning show host, Peter Boyles, from altering and using any photographs from the Aurora shooting tragedy, or any other gun violence tragedies, to promote his own conservative agenda.
Sincerely,
Kim Womantree, and the Care to Action community
