Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) has been driving Indonesian rainforest destruction at an alarming rate to make throw-away tissue products.
This deforestation is not only polluting our climate, but also pushing wildlife like the Sumatran tiger towards extinction. With only 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild, every bit of its dwindling forest habitat matters.
The APP tissue products, marketed under the "Paseo" name in the U.S., are made from wood fiber originating from rainforests and pulpwood plantations that are eating into rainforests in Indonesia. With about 400 Sumatran tigers left, there is no time to lose, and no room for retailers to look the other way while rainforest destruction sits on their shelves.
Take action now by telling major U.S. retailers: “don’t sell rainforest destruction – don’t sell Paseo tissue products!”
