#1. OUR ELEPHANTS DON'T BELONG IN ZOO'S!!
This Zoo appears to be a death camp for Elephants.
Disney's Animal Kingdom made the list of 2014's "10 worst zoos for elephants" by a group called In Defense of Animals.

The death of a pregnant elephant after she was transferred from Animal Kingdom to a new nonprofit center in Fellsmere was cited as a reason for Disney's No. 10 spot on the list.
Disney transferred four elephants to the National Elephant Center in 2013. Two died last year.
Disney had strong ties with the National Elephant Center – John Lehnhardt, the former animal care director at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, served as the first executive director for the center. The first elephants at the new center were from Animal Kingdom.
Within a year the first elephant, Tufani, died after a salmonella infection. Roughly six months later a second death at the center occurred when Tufani’s mother died while giving birth. Her calf died during labor, as well. This death is what put Disney's Animal Kingdom on In Defense of Animals' 2014 list of "10 worst zoos for elephants."
Last year, the Nashville Zoo sent the first of what was supposed to be four elephants to the center. That elephant, Juno, died within six months after arriving of an “acute small intestinal disease and the associated effects,” according to the center. The Nashville Zoo quickly announced plans to move the other elephants to another location. Within a week, both elephants were gone. One returned to Animal Kingdom and the other went to the Jacksonville Zoo (where it now lives out its days with Michael Jackson's former elephant).
Also named Tragic Kingdom: Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, FL, made some not-so-magical decisions for its elephants that have resulted in tragic deaths. In July, pregnant Moyo, and her unborn calf, died as a result of birth complications after being shipped from Disney’s Animal Kingdom to The National Elephant Center in Florida (a facility run by a consortium of AZA zoos). Zoos generally do not transfer pregnant females because of the great stress of travel and potential complications, yet DAK trucked Moyo – who also reportedly had a “rare hormonal issue” – to this unproven Florida center. We acknowledge another loss of a young elephant; Tufani, a 10-year-young male, who died from salmonella infection, a difficult illness to treat.
This illustrates how Zoo transfers are often made with little to no regard for the physical, psychological and social effects on elephants, or, apparently in this case, the health of a pregnant mother and her baby. Maybe it’s time to “Let It Go,” as in ending the elephant attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. DAK made IDA’s Ten Worst Zoos for Elephants list in 2007 for dumping two prematurely infertile elephants at a facility known for aggression between its elephants, taking a younger fertile female in return.
This is not the life Elephants were meant to live. These elephants have been abused for human entertainment and finacial gain.
IT'S PAST TIME THIS CRUEL AND ABUSIVE ZOO RELEASE ALL THEIR ELEPHANT'S IMMEDIATELY TO A SANCTUARY SUCH AS THE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY IN TENNESSEE.
There, they would have the opportunity to roam acres of natural habitat, play in a pond, forage for fresh vegetation, befriend other elephants, and enjoy a full, healthy, and enriched life.
WE DEMAND THE DICKERSON ZOO TO RELEASE THESE INNOCENT ANIMALS IMMEDIATELY!
