# 1. ELEPHANT'S DO NOT BELONG IN ZOO'S!!
The Chafee Zoo, is nothing more than a Breeding Camp in cahoots with The San Diego Zoo. In the last year they brought in "Moosey" a Male from the San Diego Zoo Safari Park as part of a loan program. "Moosey" was the first calf born into a herd of elephants relocated from Swaziland to the San Diego Zoo in 2003. His name means "to build a family," and now that he's in Fresno, animal care staff hopes he becomes a father.
The two African Females are a mother and daughter pair, Amy, 27, and Miss Betts, 7. The pair comes from Riddle’s Elephant and Wildlife Sanctuary (TERM SANCTUARY NOT AT ALL ACCURATE). in Arkansas. The zoo said the elephants will help to ""ensure the survival of African elephants by establishing a breeding herd. "".
Now, on to their Asian Elephants...Kara and Shaunzi. Kara was captured in the wild from Sri Lanka in 1975, for Sri Lanka National Zoological Gardens (Dehiwela Zoo) (TERM ZOO, NOT AT ALL ACCURATE!) She arrived at her current prison in 1983.
So, that's Four Elephants and a loaner Stud Elephant from San Diego Zoo.
None Of These Elephants Deserve To live as slaves for Human entertainment and financial gain.
For the sake of elephants in captivity, zoos must phase out their elephant exhibits, abandon breeding programs, and strive to provide the elephants who are currently in captivity with a more humane existence.
The vast majority of elephants now in zoos were taken from their homes and families in the wild.
Zoos rob elephants of their most basic needs, including extended social relationships and the opportunity to walk long distances. Lack of exercise and long hours standing on hard surfaces are major contributors to foot problems and arthritis, the leading reasons why captive elephants are euthanized. Many die decades short of their expected lifespan.
WE URGE THE FRESNO CHAFFEE ZOOTO RELEASE THEIR ELEPHANTS TO A REPUTABLE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY SUCH AS P.A.W.S. IMMEDIATELY.
ZOO'S ARE A THING OF THE PAST.
PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE TO GET THE WORD OUT! NO MORE ZOO'S!
Thank you Very much..
