It is very distressing and upsetting to realise that somewhere in the world an innocent animal (such as the bull in this picture) is being slowly and deliberately hacked to death during an animal sacrifice. A slow, long, drawn out, lingering death which inflicts unimaginable pain, agony and suffering onto an innocent, living, breathing, intelligent creature. This is true torture and it's hard to think of anything worse than this. The physical and mental torture must have been truly horrifying...words cannot even begin to describe what this animal had to go through for nearly one hour.
This is totally unacceptable. This is a vile, outrageous practice that has no place in this beautiful world. A world we are lucky enough to share with loving, sensitive, intelligent, beautiful animals.
We, the undersigned, beg the chinese president, Xi Jinping, to do anything and everything in his power to try to end this awful practice, to introduce adequate animal protection laws and prosecute anyone seen to be flouting those laws. Please show mercy to all animals and outlaw animal sacrifice! PLEASE!
"Dear Chinese President Xi Jinping,
Many people in many different nations are becoming more and more aware of the ways in which animals are being mistreated in our world. People are quickly realising that animals need protecting, and they need protecting fast. It is unbelievable to see an image such as the one in this photo, showing an animal being slowly and deliberately hacked to death. A death which looks unimaginably cruel.
Animal sacrifices such as these should not be allowed to take place. They cause too much suffering, pain and deep agony to an innocent creature. All animals should have the right to live in peace and not be subjected to this treatment under any circumstances or in any place on this earth.
We beg you to do whatever is in your power to help to end this despicable treatment of animals. To create laws, and enforce laws, that protect these animals from being killed in barbaric, ritualistic and blood-thirsty sacrifices.
Yours sincerely,
The undersigned"
