The Trump administration has announced his intention to force through two environmental nightmare projects: The Keystone XL pipeline and the Dakota Access pipeline.
Massive mobilizations were able to stop these pipelines before. The nation is well-aware that the pollution and climate disruption that these pipelines will create are bad for indigenous tribes, landowners along the routes and our shared future. We will stop these pipelines again.
It's clear that Trump is on track to be the worst climate president in history. Our childrens' future demands that we resist him now, and at every single step.
Sign this petition and urge him to reverse his climate chaos agenda immediately:
President Trump needs to hear from all of us that we do not support his actions on climate change. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to want to hear from us. In his first few days in office he has removed mentions of climate change from the White House website, and shut down the White House phone comment line.
Sign the petition and then make sure he sees your opposition and tweet it at him.
Please abandon your efforts to force through the Keystone XL pipeline and the Dakota Access pipeline.
Clean water and a healthy climate demand that we move away from polluting fossil fuels as quickly as possible, and these projects to the opposite.
Additionally, the best American energy jobs are in the renewable energy field, not the oil and gas industry.
Please support those jobs, and our shared climate by reversing course on your anti-environmental cabinet appointments of Scott Pruitt, Rex Tillerson and Rick Perry.
Additionally, please continue the U.S. support of the Paris climate agreement, and allow the EPA to keep the Clean Power Plan in place.
If you continue with the agenda you have described, your presidency will indeed be historic - you will go down as the worst climate president in history, and will have single-handedly increased the risk and threat that global warming represents for the U.S. and the globe.
