Stop Human Trafficking in Ethiopia

Ethiopia is a source country for human trafficking. Thousands of women and children are trafficked out of Ethiopia to work in the Middle East and around the world. United Hope seeks to end human trafficking in Ethiopia and needs support from the US State Department. There is no budget right now to endhuman trafficking in Ethiopia. We need funding from the State Department to combat trafficking in Ethiopia. Trafficking in Ethiopia cannot be ignored anymore. United Hope cannot survive for long without the financial support and funding from the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking. Please sign this petition to help us fight trafficking in persons in Ethiopia.

We the undersigned seek to combat human trafficking in Ethiopia. United Hope, formerly known as City of Hope, was established in Ethiopia in 2007 to raise awareness and rehabilitate victims of trafficking from the Middle East. However, our shelter is in desperate need of funding. There is currently no funding from the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in persons in Ethiopia at all. United Hope has been instrumental in ensuring the safety of victims of trafficking in Ethiopia. United Hope has sheltered and witnessed hundreds of Ethiopian women who have been trafficked to the Middle East. These women return psychologically and physically abused. We have documented pictures, stories, case studies and testimonnies from all our victims. Our organization has been working extremely hard to fundraise for our center in Ethiopia, but that alone is not enough. We need the funding from the State Department to continue to operate and to promote our cause. Please consider granting us funding for our organization. Human Trafficking in Ethiopia cannot and must not be ignored be ignored. Thank you.
