Hare Krishnas have been providing students and people around SOAS, part of the University of London, and the Bloomsbury area with free food for the past 15 years. They come to SOAS six days a week and serve a free vegetarian meal to nearly 700 people each day with a heart-warming smile.
However, for the last two months, authorities from the University of London have been trying to push the group away from the campus and even told students that they weren’t allowed to queue on their property.
One of the Hare Krishnas, Prema Hare says, "We still don’t really understand why they want to kick us off campus but it all started after they finished the new Senate House building. We think they want us off their campus because we are taking business away from the nearby cafeterias."
It is very disappointing that University of London prioritise their business interests over free and healthy Hare Krishna food, which many students and others rely on.
The alternative food options at SOAS are very expensive and not particularly healthy. We want the Hare Krishnas to stay on SOAS campus, where they have always been. Please support this petition.

SOAS comms department say they are happy for the Hare Krishnas to stay - so why has the University of London been forcing them to move?
