Tokyo Disneyland has banned all fur items for good, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia
said in a press release Thursday.
According to complaints received by PETA, Tokyo Disneyland vendors were selling items
such as bags and hats made with fox and rabbit fur.
“Disneyland made the right choice because there’s no place for fur
and the suffering it entails at a park that’s synonymous with fun,” says PETA Asia Director Jason Baker.
“We’re asking entertainment venues and retailers worldwide to follow Disneyland’s lead by going fur-free.”
Way to go Tokyo, may all others follow.
