Kentucky is part of the infamous "cockfighting corridor". These are states with only misdemeanor charges, where the penalties are so small, that they have no impact. They are nothing more than a "cost" of doing business. Participants come from other states to fight their roosters here to avoid any effectual consequences.
Cockfighting is the horrible act of pitting 2 roosters against one another in an inescapable pit, with knives, or gaffs (ice pick type instruments) attached to their legs to magnify their slashing ability. Cockfighting is not a harvest, there are no products, it is not a sport, the roosters are coerced, prodded, manipulated and exploited. for sadistic entertainment purposes .
This criminal activity also indoctrinates children for participation, and often accompanies other criminal activities.

Kentucky...The actions of fighting a defenseless 2 legged animal, are the same as fighting a 4 legged defenseless animal. The perpetrators actions are the same, no matter the species, or the body style of the victim.
