Culver City Residents Demand Rent Control/Stabilization Ordinances, Tenants Rights

  • by: Withheld
  • recipient: The Culver City Council

Because of a rush of notices for very large (45 to over 100%) rent increases issued by new owners to longterm seniors, families with children and disabled residents including those with low, moderate and workforce incomes, we the undersigned RESIDENTS of Culver City, hereby petition the Culver City Council to enact legislation to limit the size and frequency of allowable rent increases in multi-residential apartment properties thereby stablizing and protecting this vulnerable population.  Please check out our website at: http://culvercityrentcontrol.com/

A simple and fair system to protect tenant households in our community needs to be adopted before many more are displaced.
